IMPORTANT NOTE: Ruby Fortune no longer accepts players residing in the USA.

Whilst not one of the "big guns" in online casino terms, Ruby Fortune (and it's sister casino Spin Palace) are fast starting to gain a reputation for treating their players well - they seem to be on a par in this regard with Allslots casino (see the Allslots review). It wasn't one i was familiar with until recently but it was straight-forward enough to download and try out, so I did.

Running on the ever-popular Microgaming platform ("Viper" strand), Ruby Fortune has the "Expert Mode" that provides both auto-play and auto-hold functionality on many of the games including all variants of video poker and slots which is useful to experienced players, but even better for newbies who don't know their strategies yet!

The game selection is huge with all the favourites: Blackjack, Poker variants (single player modes), loads of video poker games such as All American, Double Double Bonus, Deuces Wild, Joker Poker and many more plus a range of slots that are second to none. All the Microgaming favourites such as Thunderstruck, What On Earth and Tomb Raider plus some progressive jackpot slots where you could walk away with over $1,000,000 on the right day.

Games aside, what sets an online casino apart these days its it's service and Ruby Fortune seem to be on the right track here. The biggest "plus" counters possibly their biggest "minus". They have a 12 hour Reverse Withdrawal period which they will not reduce, however, if you withdraw some winnings and email them, they will "flush" the withdrawal and process it. Many casinos won't do this and for the weaker-willed gambler, this is a real positive as it will prevent you from chasing your losses.

The support response was pretty swift when we tried it and there is of course a loyalty program offering 0.1% back on all wagers initially, with biger bonuses and more points on offer the more you wager. New players also get 500 points as a give when they join, but the points are only redeemed automatically in the second week of the following month rather than ad-hoc. Additionally, Ruby Fortune runs monthly games-sepecific promotions where you can earn as much as triple points.

Banking Options

Ruby Fortune offers a full range of banking options, although due to restrictions, they are unable to process winnings back to Credit Cards. That said, they do do "ACH" (BACS equivalent) processing if required. below is a full list of the casino banking options available:

Conclusion

Overall, if you judge Ruby Fortune on the games choice and promotions alone, then it's in among the better online casinos without necessarily standing out. However, when you add the swift support response and above all, the flush withdrawal feature, it's moving up that list. I'd still like to see the Reverse Withdrawal removed, optional to players or reduced on demand, but there are only a couple of Microgaming casinos that currently pay faster than Ruby we've found, (32Red Casino and Ladbrokes) so that's not so bad.
